Project MAZE: Automated Generation and Scoring of Reading Comprehension Assessments
Sept 2025 – present
Faculty mentor: Dr. Walter L. Leite · SHDOSE, College of Education, University of Florida
- Co-developed four versions of an automated MAZE comprehension test, using three novel LLM-based distractor-generation methods plus a dictionary-based control, deployed and administered inside a production reading application.
- Developing scoring models that normalize for word complexity and item difficulty so scores remain comparable across automatically generated passages.
- Conducting reliability and validity analyses, including alternate-form reliability, internal consistency, and correlations with established measures of reading comprehension.
Online Cluster Mapping
Sept 2025 – present
Independent project
- Web-scraped and cross-referenced millions of posts and interactions into a SQLite database for structured analysis.
- Generated cluster graphs to identify interest groups and detect user behavior patterns.
- Performed semantic analysis on clusters for applications in community analysis, bot detection, and market research.
